Create a password reset disk in Windows 8 or 8.1



We don’t usually forget our PC’s password but there are occasions when you need to reset the password. Or if you forget the password, you can always reset it. This tutorial is for only Windows 8 or 8.1 and Windows RT 8 or 8.1. To create a password reset disk, you need a pen drive. Here’s how:


Steps to create a password reset disk

First, right click on the ‘Start’ button (if you are Windows 8 user, left click on the bottom left) and go to ‘control panel’.



Now, in the next window, click ‘User accounts and family safety’, as shown below:



Now, click ‘User accounts’ and then ‘Create a password reset disk’ in the next two windows. Look at the pics below:





Follow the instructions that will open in the next windows. These pictures can help you. Make sure you insert your pen drive to create a password reset disk.






That’s it. You have finished the procedure to create a password reset disk. Whenever you forget your password or something happens, just insert your pen drive and reset the password.
