Password Protection With Style
Microsoft has added a little bit of fun in Windows 8 when it comes to protecting the Windows with a password. Even though it still asks you to enter the password every time you log on to your PC (even when you turn your PC on from a sleep state) there is another way of doing so apart from the mundane way of typing your password in. The method was first introduced in the tablets running on the same OS, but upon some exploration, it was made clear that Microsoft didn’t forget the PC counterpart.
Windows 8 lets you set a picture password in case you’re bored of your conventional password protection. Cool, no? Setting up the picture password is very easy, all you need to do is move your mouse cursor to the top right of your screen, click on Settings tab, then click on Change PC Settings, once you’re in the menu, you’ll need to go to Accounts, and then Sign-in Options. There you will be granted the option to set up an ordinary password, a pin and even a picture password. You can even change the password policy, unlike the default policy, you can prevent the Windows for asking a password when you wake your PC on from the sleep.
